Why did we start?
OUR STORY
Today’s test preparation centers tend to be results-focused. They set the tone for the entire engagement with their students based off of the number of hours to be invested to be able to prep well enough prior to the student’s exam.
Frankly, we found that to be predatory.
A research study conducted by an associate from Oxford University was insightful enough to indicate that students benefit from short, effective lessons far more than long, drawn out sessions of studying. The average optimal amount of time invested into one study session should be around 32 minutes, according to multiple sources.
Instead, the majority of test prep providers today focus on either self paced lessons (which are great in theory, but laborious in nature), or live sessions that extend over large amounts of time and budget.
Why does it work?
OUR PROCESS
Our process has been cultivated by a set of instructors who were first students, then test takers themselves, then tutors, and finally, curriculum builders. We take time to ensure that every facet of our curriculum is built to appeal to students, because the fact of the matter is that only engaging material boosts retention. Monotonous repetition does little for learning processes, and our students attest to the fact that their learning techniques have been improved significantly after taking any of our courses.
Test day is stressful enough without the added complication of worrying about preparing for that day with dread. We understand that. That’s why our process is 30 minutes a day for 30 days directly before the test day. With this level of time engagement, over 80% of our students have shown exponential increases in their scores, with every student being 100% satisfied with their prep prior to the day of.
